“I fought too hard for this zip code to go home now.”
Enough! No one is hurting anyone. No one is touching anyone anymore. Grieving the pain of a shocking loss, you could have never expected that a relationship or situation would end this way. But now, we said it. Although endings fill you with dread and make you fear that you will trust again, do not seek permanency never where it cannot be found. All things must come to an end. What brings you pleasure today may bring you pain tomorrow, and vice versa. So don’t fixate on the person, event, or situation causing your misery. Be present and accept your reality as it is—not as it was or as you wish it could be. Transmute pain into inner peace by leaning into your feelings. The more you resist terrifying emotions like loneliness and anguish, the more intense they become. Change is never easy, but remember: your soul is indestructible. When you surrender and face the full weight of what has happened, you create the space to move on and start over. Even when there is no plane out, there is always a way through.
